On March 29th 2025 a group of Super Heroes marched downtown Kelowna BC on Bernard Avenue to raise awareness of an event that saddens the people of British Columbia. The culling of 400 healthy ostriches. Animals to be killed due to fear mongering, mis/disinformation and Government overreach. Thanks to the organizers Penny J and Hilary M! The group gathered out front Safeway and slowly made its way down to 'The Sails'. A famous landmark downtown Kelowna BC right on Lake Okanagan. Batman, Captain America and Cat Woman caught many people's attention. So the fun begun...

For quite a few months protesters have been up at the Ostrich Farm in Edgewood BC to help protect the farm, the animals and also the farm owners from unauthorized access. A few weeks back however, the devastating news reached the community: The culling/killing of the birds will happen. The RDCK in Castlegar BC however took action and the story goes on..... So did ours in Kelowna....

What a fun and well organized awareness walk! All the best to the farm and 'Save their Ostriches'!
